Christopher M. Shea,
PhD, LCSW, CST, CSAT, CPTT, CASAC
My decades of training and practice encompass a broad range of therapeutic approaches—schema therapy, parts work, trauma-informed interventions (including EMDR), relational and family systems therapy, and addiction recovery methods. I work closely with each client to assess and adapt to their specific needs, promoting a unified approach that gently guides stuck parts out of self-defeating patterns and toward emotional balance.
“Desired outcomes emerge through a collaborative process built on steady guidance, mutual respect, and clear goals that we track and refine throughout the course of therapy.”
I believe that real progress is born from a strong therapeutic relationship—one that provides both structure and compassion as clients explore the deeper layers of their experiences.
Whether unburdening aspects of the self or working with couples and families, our work focuses on neutralizing disruptive tendencies that interfere with connection and peace of mind. Relief often begins within the first month, followed by meaningful and sustained growth that unfolds in proportion to a client’s level of engagement.
I SPECIALIZE IN:
Relationship and sex therapies (including betrayal trauma)
Addiction and recovery (including sexual compulsivity and substance use disorders)
LGBTQ+ affirming therapy
Trauma, anxiety, and depression
Personality challenges
Healing from adversity—whether sudden or cumulative—requires compassionate, steady guidance. I help clients uncover the roots of persistent struggles and build a clear, sustainable path toward freedom, clarity, and a more grounded connection to the present.
